Dragon´s place
A place where everybody is welcome.

But certainly for all the ones who will learn about the new Celtic view on it and put in practice the harmonious integration of landscape and people providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way.
In fact, an update of the ideas of Permaculture set by Bill Mollison:
Food: We will work on our quinta (4 hectares own + 4 hectares use) , together with local traditional, together with others biological farmers in the area, and learn from each other to provide healthy foods for our own needs and other people.
Our quinta is a beautiful natural area in mid Portugal. An old Celtic place, consisting of large areas of woodland, and a terraced vineyard, where every day you can enjoy living a natural lifestyle. Living on the quinta is also an adventure, and we will be very self-supporting. For almost 200 years, generations of the same family have lived there. When we arrived in 2003 there was only a wild area (jungle), for over 30 years no one has done anything with it. We have already cleared a lot of areas, and still we continue to find new exiting things (including trails of Wicca). There are several sources for water, and ingenious distribution networks to deliver the water where it is required.

Of the three stone built buildings on the property, we have restored one already, and one of the others is planned.

There are a lot off fruit trees in addition to the vineyard, and we are already making our own wine. We have goats who help to keep clean the forest land.

Some terraces are cultivated for vegetables and we demonstrate special water saving irrigation systems.
Energy: We are a part of a group (homeland Belgium) who has lot of experience (3 generations) in all kind of energy solutions. We are workaholic inventors and more than normal technical equipped. We will share knowledge and technical capacity’s. We do this world wide and in lots of sustainable projects ( recent Portugal and Africa). We give free technology transfer and help lots of community’s to become independent. We give free first line advise and organise lots of workshops for every budget. Farmers can use our equipment for making there own vegetable oil (from seeds) and animal food. And much more…….! because recently our group is growing and we hope to find follow-up for the old generation to safe lots of inventions (like unique thermodynamic engine).
Shelter: We rebuild one of our own ruins and can help others with advise and practical assistance (machine works). We accept some work in exchange.
Other material needs: We have a large stock and lots of sources of used material al kind. We are big promoters of reuse in strict contrast to recycling in basic raw material . We give workshops to learn to dismantle and reuse all parts of al kind of equipment (example old washing machine). We has demonstrate recently how to make a very good water turbine for producing electricity, out of scrap material ( possible from car turbo and washing machine motor). We collect all kind of scrap and also a lot of waste products, like old oil of any source (also old cooking oil). We use micro filtrating without energy to reuse oil for lubricating like chainsaw or for lubricate or hybrid fuel for wood gas or diesel engines. Don’t throw away things! Sometimes we give money for it but most of time we like to exchange.
Non material: I am Dirk, Technical (freak?) but also a spiritual (Celtic) master (mentor). Christine is a former high educated and skilled nurse, who practice and study alternative methods for healthcare. She make progress in agriculture and cultivate herbs.
We respect nature and every living thing on earth. We will see humans as a part of that nature and classify them as predator (beast of prey), even if they are strict ecologist, vegan or???
We believe in natural hierarchy and will build up a community with 3 or 4 intern relation and lots of extern in different levels. We don’t discriminate about nature or sexual interests. We don’t accept the false moral of the unnatural and hypocrite society.
We are music addicted and like lots of styles. We like to organise party’s on our quinta. We can provide sound and light systems. I Dirk was very active (technical and organisation) in the live music scene of the 60’s, and so like of course live music.
